This is a high school course...what does that mean?
Physical Science at McConnell Middle School is a high school level course. All of our 8th grade science teachers are high school certified, which means that your child is eligible to obtain one Carnegie unit if he or she is successful in science this year. In order to obtain the credit, your child MUST maintain at least a 74 in the class. Students will be removed if not successful. The student would stay in the same class, but the opportunity for credit would be forfeited. Our goal is for all students to be successful. Later in the school year, teachers will contact parents about how to decide if you want the credit or not.
